1983 Ford Fiesta MK1 XR2 restoration project

I bought this car a few years ago, but I had not been happy with the paint finish, so I decided to strip the car bodywork down, and start again.

Below are a few pictures taken today showing the progress.

Entire bodywork was really sound, much better than I expected, so a few body panels I bought have not been needed, repairs are being made soon to the rear valence and sills, and the entire car will be stripped down on the underside, and a fresh coat of underseal applied. The windows etc are being removed this week, the tailgate will also be removed next, stripped down and ready for paint also.

In the next few weeks, all panels will be prepared and primered, and a new coat of Ford Diamond White applied.
